ServiceScout Demo (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application and related services, including integration with QuickBooks Online.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly (name, email, account details), information from your use of the application (usage data, device information), and information from third-party integrations, including QuickBooks Online, only as needed to provide the application.
When you connect QuickBooks Online, we access only the data you authorize and store OAuth tokens securely. We do not access or store QuickBooks data beyond what is necessary to provide the service.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the application; process transactions; integrate with QuickBooks Online; communicate with you; comply with legal obligations; and for other purposes described at the time of collection or with your consent.
Legal basis: We process your personal data based on your consent, to perform the service contract, and where necessary to comply with legal obligations or our legitimate interests.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information or QuickBooks Online data. We may share information with service providers who assist in operating the application, when required by law, or to protect our rights and safety. Data may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions. We ensure appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, are in place for transfers outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. OAuth tokens and sensitive data are stored securely. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for the duration of your account’s active status and for up to 2 years after deactivation to comply with legal obligations. OAuth tokens are deleted upon account deactivation or when QuickBooks access is revoked. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information at any time.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
Depending on your location, you have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may revoke QuickBooks Online access at any time through the application or your Intuit account. Contact us to exercise these rights.
8. Children
ServiceScout is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
